Well I can certainly see how artificial intelligence will be a growing industry and will be for many years to come! So yes I think investing in AI would be a wise move. If you are technologically minded I can just imagine that this will be a great industry to start a company in.

I am a little bit (like a lot) lost when it comes to technical things so I don't think this will suit me very well, but other people that get this sort of things will thrive in this industry.

I still find it amazing how far we have come in such a short space of time, and yes at times I find it a bit scary too.

Technical things and programming skills is not only you need if you ever wish to become involved into AI. Perhaps you can come up with some great idea in the future and having right idea can be good investment too

I think, Artificial Intelligence technology it will become something very useful within some years, same as computers are these days. Most of big companies are working/researching to create their own Artificial Intelligence, and Facebook is one of them. I am passionate about technology, and AI is really too exciting technology.

When I hear of A.I I think of something like from Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey movie. Or that film with Jude Law A.I. I see a future like that. Where tons of A.I bots or Androids have been made and eventually became obsolete of sorts, kind of like how old smartphones become obsolete when a newer version is released. So we'll have like, scores of these old A.I bots hanging around who have been replaced by newer, more sophisticated A.I bots and androids. Then this will spawn a generation of A.I salvagers and recyclers who will offer to collect and "dispose" of your old A.I android. But what they'll actually do is line them up and use them for target practice or sick circus games like in the movie A.I. where they will be destroyed, blown up and obliterated for the entertainment purposes of the people.

A.I also scares me as well. Because I predict something apocalyptic happening in as far as scenes from Terminator. Where Skynet becomes "self aware" and strategically decides that human interaction is obsolete and humans are a danger to their intelligence and they then subsequently decide to wipe them out. We'll have to send someone back in time to stop that from happening before they can send someone back in time to stop that person from stopping what the person was sent back in time for.

I'm just saying, I think we're going to need a big red panic button that automatically shuts down A.I in case it gets too cocky. Because there is no reasoning with a machine. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't understand grey areas. It only knows yes and no. It doesn't understand how to think in the middle. It only knows what it's been taught or what it's been taught to learn.

All A.I's will need to learn Isaac Asimov's "Three Laws of Robotics"

A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I know that 3 laws of robotics because Isaac Asimov is my husband’s favorite author. Sometimes I scan the book that he is reading hence I came across that laws of robotics. And I believe that artificial intelligence will be the gift of the future. Right now we already have the driver-less car or the autonomous car that can drive itself with only the supervision of a human. I also envision that someday the home will be controlled by AI.
