Please i am planning of creating a social media page or group on Facebook since it is part of the requirements to level up and also to get traffic visitors and possibly affiliates but i am confused to which one to create? do i go for facebook group or facebook page?
which one do you think will work out well for me.

Which is effective for promoting my affiliate site? Facebook page or facebook group?
Why go with just one when you can have both at the same time? They don't cost nothing to start and are free to make and they both have their own pros/cons and or advantages/disadvantages. By not having one you loose out on the advantages it can have.Groups Vs Pages What's The Difference?
Pages
• Privacy: All posts are viewable by everyone on Facebook and publicly viewable by default.
• Audience: There's no limit how many Fans or Likes a Page can have and anyone can Like it and connect as a fan.
• Communication: Post as the Page itself or as yourself as the Admin that show in the news feed for all fans.
Groups
• Privacy: Unlike Pages you can choose to have an open/closed or public group. Groups provide more options for privacy including ability to adjust the public and privacy settings and require member approval.
• Audience: No restriction on size of group but some features are limited when its a large group.
• Communication: Group members can fully interact and participate in chats, posting images, sharing albums and invite other members to the group. Members receive notification on Facebook as an alert and an email alert as well if its enabled every time a new post is posted to the group.

Facebook pages - people must like your page and this can take some time to get going. Yes you can just buy likes I suppose but that won't help you with sales or engagement... Facebook advertising is quite awesome, I have made use of this a lot and I have built one of my Facebook pages to over 40 000 naturally and with paid Facebook ads.
The bonus here is that it is your brand. You can also schedule posts from within Facebook. You can also like and comment as your page to get yourself seen more.
A facebook group is also cool but here people join a group. You can change the settings for who can see, join and post to your groups. You can't schedule posts to your group from within Facebook and you can't advertise your group directly using Facebook advertising. If you have a Facebook page for example then you can share with your fans about your group and advertise that post. However if you just have a group you can't advertise it.
Groups can quite easily get spammed and this gets tricky because you want people to join and you want other people to post... but then they spam it lol. Although if you let loads of other people post even if it is spam you can then pin your post to the top of the group which means everyone sees your post...
