If you travel a lot already, you can help out others by posting information about where you've already been or plan on going. You can actually write about places you've been that you actually haven't visited. You can have people write up summaries about where they have been and then you but that content from them for a few bucks and post it as your own 
You can make money from this by monitizing your website traffic with adsense or other related ad placements on your website. You could also sell travel books on places you've been which go over tips on where to visit while at a specific destination or where to go eat, people love this kind of stuff
You can place affiliate links to profit from any method of traveling the person on your website chooses. You won't make thousands per person, but if you get 100 sign ups a month then you'll make a nice full time and passive income
You'll need to be disciplined if you go with this type of business. You can't be out partying all the time, unless it's to cover a club or bar that you're adding into your review of the town/city you're visiting. You'll need to keep detailed notes on where you're at so that you don't miss anything when you eventually sit down at your computer and begin to hack away at the keyboard.
Set up your schedule ahead of time and stick with it. If you're not diligent with your schedule then you won't have much success since you'll be missing out on a lot of things that won't be fitting into your time frames since you decided to get lazy or not go somewhere because you wanted some "me time" while traveling lol.
I actually have a friend who worked for the United States Treasury department and she quit her job after her travel blog started making her more money than her 9 to 5 did. And if I remember correctly, she was making around 50k to 60k her first year Not bad, right

Well that counts me out then! LOL. No I don't do that as much these days anyway. But have to say on the face of it, this does seem like it could be quite a lucrative thing to do. I've always wanted to own and run my own travel blog. But what's put me off from doing it is that I'm not so well traveled. I've been to a lot of places around my local island that is England. From Lands End to John O' Groats. And one of my life long ambitions on my bucket list, is to travel all around England on a motorbike and visit all the famous land marks. I've already been to some of them (and there isn't really many "famously famous" landmarks) but that was as a child with my parents or something.
But I'd like to go on my own or with a pal and motorbike my way up and down England. Visiting famous places "hairy biker style". And when I start doing that, I will definitely be blogging about my journeys, places visited, experiences and the such! But I will consider doing these other things as well as part of that blog. Including hiring writers that have already traveled as well and added their travel stories and experiences to the site.
I have a friend call Bill, who has traveled to near every country in the world and he's younger than me. I kinda envy him for that. While we was all "talking" about it, he just upped and dropped everything, bought a ticket to Thailand and just went! He's since been to many countries, Australia, Cambodia, Egypt, you name it, he's probably been there. And he has soo many stories about the place. I keep telling him, Bill, put these stories down on paper man. Start a travel blog. Writing/blogging about your adventures and experiences.
I need to get him on here and I've been trying to get him to join SuperiorThan.com but he's one of them people that's really really hard to pin down! But he is very knowledgeable about all sorts of things going on in the world, conspiracy theories, secret societies and all things traveling! So he would be very welcome on ST and a very valuable addition to the site. But yeah, will tell him about this!
