    Affordable Stock Photos - A Must For All Web Designers And Marketers

    I just read and commented on a discussion posted by IdealMike that went over some free stock photo websites that anyone can use. The discussion is HERE

    I use a paid service, but it's not one of those pricey ones that everyone thinks about lol.

    I can't justify paying $50 for 10 images a month when I can pay $9 for 100 images a day... yeah, 100 a day for just $9 a month lol Affordable Stock Photos - A Must For All Web Designers And Marketers So I get up to 3,000 images a month while other websites are charging $50 a month for just 10 images. If you do the math, that's $5 an image for the expensive websites and $0.003 per image on the website that I use Affordable Stock Photos - A Must For All Web Designers And Marketers

    Ok, Ok, I'll tell you since you've read this far lol. I use billionphotos.com and I've loved their service for the last 10 to 12 months Affordable Stock Photos - A Must For All Web Designers And Marketers

    There are 3 different membership levels, well 2 kind of.

    • FREE: You get access to all 300,000+ images at not charge to you for 7 days. You can download 20 images a day during this 7 day period. After the 7 days you aren't auto charged for the next membership. You can upgrade if you want, they don't force you which I like a lot Affordable Stock Photos - A Must For All Web Designers And Marketers
    • 1 Month: This is a good membership if you have a project that needs a good amount of images and you don't want to pay for the yearly membership level. I like this option, but it's not the cheapest in the long run so I went with the next one Affordable Stock Photos - A Must For All Web Designers And Marketers
    • Annual: This is the yearly membership level that you pay for one time a year. It costs $99 which will make it like you're paying less than $9 a month for up to 100 downloads a day Affordable Stock Photos - A Must For All Web Designers And Marketers


    What I really like is that billionphotos lets you use their images on your clients websites and they won't track down your clients and harass them (I've been in that boat before and it's not fun). You can't sell themes with their images, but your clients websites that you are designing are ok.

I've never heard about Billionphotos but it seems a neat website, I like that they offer trial period to try their service, 7 days are enough to change your mind to switch to premium version Affordable Stock Photos - A Must For All Web Designers And Marketers but yeah they seems to have some really good images.     Actually, depends on the project that I'm working, but I always try to create something myself in order to avoid free images, as I don't want to see same thing somewhere else.

    If will have a good and big project in my hand, then yes stock photos are the right thing to use.

    Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of free images because I try to play it safe and avoid mean letters in my email letting me know that I owe a bunch of money because I "stole" their image lol. It's happened to me in the past and I try to avoid it all the time now.

    What is the difference between Billionphotos, and istock images other than payment plans or price? I tend to use primarily free photos that allow for both commercial and personal purposes. I have never paid for any images before, and don't think I would ever.

    Usually if I am designing a website template, my go to is pixabay, or other stock photo websites, and I usually find an image I like for free. However, if I ever needed to buy a photo i probably would go with a subscription instead of paying for rights to an image in a single purchase.

    I always play it safe and just pull a picture from billionphotos since I can put them on clients websites and not worry about getting a lawsuit for image piracy. I've seen image sharing/selling companies send out some pretty harsh charges because the designer thought they were using a free image but in reality there was a license needed to use it.

    100 images per day should be more the enough from my point of view. Nice share Razzy, booked marked, I may use trial at one point in the feature since I rarely need stock photos.

    I've had a few times when I couldn't find the perfect image and I had to settle on something. But that's not too often since they have over 300,000 images on their website Affordable Stock Photos - A Must For All Web Designers And Marketers When I started using them they had 150,000+ images and they've doubled that within 8 to 10 months. So maybe in a few years they will be big contenders in the image sharing niche Affordable Stock Photos - A Must For All Web Designers And Marketers

    I don't like to pay for anything unless I absolutely have to, but that said I agree with what has been said about free images. If you find a really good one you will find lots of other people have the same image on their websites, banners and social media adverts.

    I must say Razzy that this is a really good value for money website. if you can download 100 images a day then that works out to $0.00275 per image. I must say that is a huge bargain. I have done some searching online for paid stock image websites and they all seemed quite pricey to me.

    I was using Dollar Photo Club a while back and they charged $1 for one image but they closed down.

    I think I will probably go for this paid service too even though there are free options available. Having a price no matter how cheap it is does cut down on the amount of people using the images!

    I recently found a website that offers 100 downloads per day by paying $9 every month. You can also get illustrations, vector designs or templates for free, but you have to credit the creator.
    The site is called freepik. Has anyone tried this site?
