Ok so I might just have an idea for my first service here! Inspired by Mike discussion about text to speech software...
What do you think about offering a voice over service? I know a lot of people that are too nervous to speak in their Youtube videos for reasons ranging from being shy about their accents,not confident about their ability to speak English or they don't like the sound of their own voice... so I might have a nice little market that I can tap into.
So can anyone help me with ideas on how to price such a service?
On top of that can anyone advise me on what equipment I should have and what I should use to record with?
I don't have any equipment or software at the moment so I would have to probably sort that out first.

Damn it. I just typed out an answer here. Then my Firefox said there was an update so clicked it and it refreshed all my tabs and I lost my answer. So that was rude!! Anyway, what I think I was saying was that you'll only really need a microphone. But that your PC/laptop may already have one built into it? Most modern laptops/computers do for talking on Skype and that. However, they are quite "tinny" sounding so you could invest in a better microphone. You can get a wireless/bluetooth one for like $10 on fleabay or Amazon etc.
Price wise, I would start off selling it for like $2 or something at first. Just until you can get a few good ratings left on your service. Then up the price. I think a good fair reasonable price for something like this would be around $1 per 100 spoken words. More or less same sort of price for writing. But have a minimum order of like 500 words else it might not really be worth your time to do. They would have to give you the script first of course. Then you could just read it out as you're recording. Should only take about 3-5 minutes for a 500 word script.
Anyway yeah, that should be some more food for thought for you. :)

TBH, if you're using Windows already. You can just use the Sound Recorder Tool. Just start typing "Sound Recorder" into the Windows Start menu search field and select Sound Recorder. I thought we posted about it before on here but searched and couldn't find anything so perhaps it was in chat. Anyway, that is all that you really need. Once finished, recordings are saved as MP3 files. So you can just send that to your client. :)
And yeah you wouldn't want kids yelling in the background. Not too professional lol. But it should only take about 5-10 mins to speak a script in a quiet room or something or last thing at night. :)

Not everybody has the charisma to record a video about their services and sound/look convincing enough to get orders. So yeah, would be a great new feature for SEOclerks, something I actually never seen at SC competitors. This is actually a great idea Lynne! Like every service on SEOclerks will have a play button where a potential buyer can hear the sale pitch.
