What is the cause and solution of this issue with Internet Download Manager IDM.

Please i do have this issue as shown in the image below sometimes when i want to download some files. i have tried to find a solution to it but to no avail.
please if anyone has had this issue resolved while using the download manager or know what could be the cause and how to find solution to it, i will be very grateful.

It seems to me that both your browser and IDM have done a download request at the same time and that's why it isn't working.
You can try and close IDM and try downloading via browser, by the way, who needs an internet download manager in 2016?

Seriously, every modern browser has its own integrated download manager where you can cancel, pause and play downloads.

Yeah, according to that notification, browser and idm are trying to download same file in the same time. You should close the idm process from task manager or taskbar, and try to download that file from your browser only, then you can run idm again via double click.
