    i recieved facebook message say someone asked for password

    i recieve nowdays message from facebook to my email says someone request password what that mean is someone try to hijack my account, what i need to do and why he sent request password to my email and he cannot access it?

    Hi sanfora thanks for your question. I think someone try to trick with you for getting your Facebook access. So, I want to ask you do you know him, who request to get password or is he your familiar person? If your familiar or unknown do not share password anyway. Many scammers try to hack account such way. And Gmail or Facebook will not take any responsibility, if you do so. So, be aware, before share any private information with someone. I think you have to level up your Facebook security concern. And Gmail too. I think mobile verification may best option for security purpose.

    So you received an email from Facebook to say that you had reset your password. The email you actually get when you reset your password right? So if that was so, that means the only way that could have happened is if someone visited Facebook's Forgotten Account page and manually put in your Facebook account email address and clicked the send button. But that doesn't mean they have access to your Email account whichever it may be whether Gmail/Hotmail/Yahoo or something.

    This can only have happened for one of two reasons. The first being that someone accidently put in your email address by mistake. Or maybe you have a similar email address to them and they mistyped it by mistake. Either that, or someone literally tried to reset your password. But again, it doesn't mean they have access to your Email account whatever it may be. And why they done that could be for different reasons too. It might not necessarily mean that someone is trying to hack your Facebook account. But why would someone try to reset your FB account anyway? So perhaps it could be that someone is trying to hack into your Facebook account.

    You said "I receive nowdays message from facebook" but leaves it open to interpretation. What do you mean by nowdays? Does that mean literally one instance today? Or does it mean that recently (Example: last few days or week or so) you have been receiving password reset emails from Facebook?

    I'm only asking because obviously if it's the latter and you've literally received several emails (meaning more than one) from FB today or in the last few days etc, then chances are someone is trying to reset your password but is failing miserable. Failing because 1) they don't have access to your Email account to click that link anyway. And 2) it is letting you know that someone is trying to do that.

    However the thing to do now is as advised and to login to your Email account and change the password. Also look at other ways you can increase the security of it too such as enabling two factor authentication and verifying your mobile number with it etc. The same applies for your Facebook account as well who also provide many ways for you to increase the security of it you can find on the security page.

    The more of these steps you take, the more secure your account will be and the harder it will be for anyone to gain access to it.

    You shouldn't really worry, however it's best to change your password to a password that is not easily guessed. I suggest using some sort of password generator. You can use "Strong Password Generator" to do this for you:

    I've used them a couple of times and the passwords that are generated seem to be almost impossible to crack by automated systems. So just remember to change your passwords often. I don't even save passwords on my browser, I generally just try to remember them write them done in a notebook that I hide around the house. I take password security literally, and everyone else should too.

    I have my Facebook settings quite tight when it comes to security. Even if someone has my password they cannot access my account from a new device.

    If I want to access my account from a new device Facebook will send a code to my mobile phone that I have to enter before I can have access Facebook. Perhaps you should consider tightening up your security like this too.

    In fact it is sometimes too tight for me, sometimes I struggle to get in myself LOL.

    I also receive that kind of email from time to time but it's not more about my yahoo email password. That may email account is to expire so I have to reset my password by typing in the old and new password. That is like asking for my password, right? But I remember getting a similar email that my Facebook account is hacked so I needed to change my password. They have the same tenor and style. But I'm sure they were able to dupe some who are naive with that matter. Tsk, tsk, too bad for them.
