Yesterday Facebook newsroom announced that they are creating a new algorithm to avoid clickbait articles that we see on our facebook news feed, and unfortunately these days you can’t see anything else on facebook but only clickbait articles. Hope that this algorithm will work to keep those article out to save our time and clicks, also I can’t wait to see what clickbait pages will do now…

Yeah I was just reading about it now. Apparently it will increase Facebook's revenue as well. I knew there was another agenda behind it! It's always that way with Facebook. They don't do anything on the site unless there is some other beneficial reason in it for them that involves them making more money. It just so happens that it creates a better UX for its users as well. Will be interesting to see how it pans out over the next few months and whether the people posting them will learn to adapt and find ways around it. The whole Internet is like a constant cat and mouse game. That's how it is with everything not just social media sites but OS's, apps and tools where they find a way to abuse it or mis-use it, the devs play catchup and then they find a way around that in a constantly changing circle. Hey what changes! :)

It will be interesting to see how it works. I'm wondering how it will work. I guess they will crawl the site the link is for and see if it's got those words on it or if it's completely different and the image itself that is showing on FB doesn't show on the site then they consider it as clickbait. I'm wondering it that's sort of how it's going to work as only real way I can tell unless they're using a database of sorts too.
To be honest, I never click them and I hardly every click anything on Facebook anyway. You all remember about the last Facebook notification malware issue that FB have tried to play down and make people forget about. God only knows if it's happened again. When it does, I know for a fact FB would rather try to deal with it internally and not let the news get out that it's happened. But that's simply why I never click hardly anything on Facebook.
