I love my toys man lol you know as far as entertainment goes I'm pretty sure every one has there set of things that they love to do when they have free time & lately I have been taking an interest in rc cars you know remote controlled cars and I just learned that they have different kinds I know every one is familiar with the electric ones you can buys this me any where but I just learned that there are gas powered ones also I'm still looking into it but what do you guys think about it any thoughts on which one is more reliable and fun the gas or electric?
My cousin had gas powered rc car and as much i remember he was spending hundreds of dollars on fixing them. Engine is looking so real, but just tiny. Parts for that toy were so expensive but he couldn't give up as he was so addicted to it. I don't know much details about these cars but i have seen it as fun, just little bit expensive fun i guess

These days I'm more interested in flying cameras that serve more of a purpose than just going raggo around an RC track. Even though doing that is always fun and a good laugh. Especially if you're with a friend and are racing them around a large car park or something! Especially at night time with LED lights on the cars that looks sick!
But I'm looking into drone technology for surveillance and aerial photography reasons. Put it this way, there's a shop in my local high street that buys enlarged photos of buildings or places, landmarks etc and right now there is a big demand for aerial photography and videos of wedding receptions, parties, events etc and it's something that I'm thinking about breaking into both as a hobby and a business.
I'm waiting for the DJI Phantom 3 Pro and the Inspire to come down in price for that on a professional level. But I'm also a bit into FPV drone racing as well. I've not done it yet. I've only had a Parrot Rolling Spider which was fun but this looks like funner.
Ha! Yeah boys need their toys!! Ahem. Uhm yeah I know what you mean! When it comes to RC cars you basically have a choice of three different ways to power it. First you have the standard rechargeable battery types that are powered by a rechargeable battery. Then you have the two different types of gas ones. The ones that burn normal 4 star gas (petrol). And the methanol based nitro fueled ones. From a rookie POV the battery powered ones are the easiest to use and are purchased ready-to-go including the battery you just charge it up and that's it. But the petrol and nitro based RC cars require a bit more work first to get them ready to use requiring a fair bit of "tinkering" with to get them setup and get the best performance from them. If you want to learn about that and gain the mechanical experience and be much more hands on with your car than petrol/nitro based RC cars are better to go with for that reason and of course much faster as well. The thing is they all have their own pros and cons. While battery RC cars are easier to use and manage and have a good center of gravity, Petrol cars with half full fuel tanks sloshing around can effect its stability. Petrol RC cars are more like real cars though in the way they work and are built so if you have any mechanical experience with real cars you'll find it basically the same. They're more for the grown ups lets say. Also if you do go the petrol/nitro route, make sure to only use brushless motors as these can go much faster, handle higher voltages and last much longer due to the reduced amount of friction. That's just something to know and think about though that I know from racing RC cars in the past and using RC drones today.
