    How do you copy proof your content?

    Proofreading is very important task for most copywriters and content builders, especially non-native English Speakers. I admit my English is not perfect and sometimes I do make grammatical mistakes.

    I've improved a lot over the years but I still use that "spell check" option turned on in my Chrome browser as well as Microsoft Word.

    Do you guys use any tool a little more advance maybe? Something that can detect general grammar discrepancies for a whole phrase or sentence?
    For you native English speakers out there? How do you spell check everything you write? Do you do it yourself? Or do you ask a third party to do it for you?

    For spell checking I normally copy and paste the text into Microsoft Word. It tends to come up for spelling, punctuation and grammar errors which is very useful and can help stop a lot of embarrasses. You could also use an alternative if you are working on mobile and they can often be found with a few searches on the play store or app store.

    Hi Cristian, this is a great topic. I am English speaking and I usually spot spelling and grammar mistakes quite easily. I just write my content and check it myself. It works ok for me so far.

    I have quite a few blogging friends that I have met online that are not English speaking so often they ask me to proof read their content before they publish it.

    I enjoy doing this for them.

    I know that a lot of non-English writers use Grammarly to help them with copy proofing their content. I've heard it works really nicely but I have not tried it myself.

    Oh and my mom reads all my blog posts and if I have made any mistakes she emails me very quickly lol.

    Grammarly seems like a great tool, but from what I've tested its fairly limited, pretty slow and kind of annoying...

    Hi Cristian thanks for nice question. I think for writing content standard English must required for quality content writer. I am not native English speaker, but I always try to do best for myself. I know I do many mistakes in writing like grammatical error, which more common and sometimes spelling error. And I always checked all sentences by MS office 2010. And this version of MS office very special for spelling check and they give lot of word suggestion too and sometime office 2010 auto fix the error word. So, my first choose MS office 2010 for checking misspelling. And for grammatical error, I used few online tools. But for my not much worthy.

    I'm not native in English, and yeah i admit sometimes it's very difficult, i've used many spell checker extensions for chrome but to be honest they don't seem to work as i need, for the moment i'm using only Microsoft Word which it works very well.

    Also , i have tried grammarly too , but their free version is very limited.

    Anyone here used the paid version of Grammarly? Is it worth it? I have the free version but I'm really convince buying the paid version is worth the money? So please, let know. Thank you.

    My main tool to be honest is spell check, I tend to work off my phone at times I have an iPhone 6s and as you may very well know the 6s is running the newest versions of iOS and the spell check on that is really good some times while writing or typing words out I tend to get stuck and that happens I was born and raised in the us and there are still times I find my self trying to get my grammar and spelling right but with iPhone spell. Check you don't even have to spell the whole and it will already give suggestions to the correct spelling

    I make sure to use the grammarly and dragonnaturally speaking plugins. To some extent it does work. But if scrapers are used then they can make sure that data can be copied. So it is something we can't fix all the time. And for this reason I'd say it's better to make sure you are posting the content through better mediums and avoid people who copy.

    Like you, I am not a native English speaker although I think I have had learned enough in school since English is the medium of teaching here. It is imperative to use the spell checker before considering your content as final. But I don’t trust the grammar checker. What I do is to let somebody read my work for comments on the grammar and on the content itself regarding the substance and the presentation as well. Sometimes it takes 3 readers before I become comfortable with the final version.

    I write in English as a second language and I tend to make a lot of grammar, punctuation, and spelling mistakes. Normally, I am also an editor of my works. After I write an article, I do not immediately submit. I forget it for few days and then go back to the article and don the role of editor. The second correction also corrects the obvious mistakes. I use Grammarly to improve my article.
