    Does formatting PC many times make it worst?

    Formatting PC alot of times will that effect PC and make it slow and worst or make it better? How to protect my PC?

    Hi sanfora thanks for your question. I never hear if you format your computer hard disk so many times, it may getting any error or worst. I am using computer over some years and I frequently format my computer hard disk, while I am getting any problem for windows. And it also one time per month and more than 12 times in a year. But I never face such problem or worst. Rather, I know that if you format your computer hard disk at least 2 times in a year, any error or virus or any bad sector will be removed or fix.

    Do you mean reformatting? I reformat my computers about every 3 months, 4 times a year and it doesn't appear to conflict with anything. The only issue I have is transferring all the important files to a USB stick, and downloading drivers again which is a pain and somewhat time consuming.

    Multiple formats may affect your HDD if you do it in excess. There are a lot of opinions out there. I think it depends a lot of the type of format. Keep in mind a HDD has a limited life time.

    I reformat my computer every 6 months and i haven't faced any problem with my hdd so far. Reformatting does not cause problems, but some hdd have bad sectors, and it's necessary to re-generate the bad sectors before reformatting it.

    I have someone reformat every now and then. As far as I know there have not been any problems? I don't do it myself so I honestly don't know what problems can be encountered with reformatting.

    No formatting your PC many times wont "make it worst". Although I think you mean "worse" as "worst" means even worse than worse. Or "worser" which isn't really a grammatically correct word but is widely accepted in most dialects today. Example "It's a worser choice". Should just be said "It's a worse choice". Or "This has made it worse than before". Grammar lesson aside lol. Formatting the disk only clears it of it's data blocks. It's basically changing all the 1's to 0's. Actually, formatting doesn't entirely remove the data from the disk. It simply says okay, you can write to this block again now. That's why you can still use data recovery software on an HDD long after it's been formatted to recover lost data. Also, "PC" is a term that's used to describe the whole of your computer including all hardware peripherals such as the GFX card, the MOBO, the PSU and the HDD etc etc. And so formatting the HDD is only going to have an effect on the HDD and nothing else. But that and every thing else in your PC is only going to be effected by normal wear and tear (age). So if you have a decent PC that's fairly new then you could format it 100 times in a year and it wouldn't really make that much difference or make it any worse than it was before. Only that it's been used a bit more and each time you use your PC, each time you power it on, that sudden jolt of electricity does a little more damage to all the parts in your PC that require electricity. Which is like every part basically. PC's aren't actually meant to be turned off and work better and will last longer if they're kept on. That's why PC's come with sleep and hibernate mode! So they can be put into a low power state. So from that perspective, formatting your HDD an insane amount of times would effect it but only because of all the reboots!

    I'm going to be honest with you here I have formatted phones plenty of times with out any issues whiped those baby's clean , as far as a pc goes in not too sure about what the effects could be of formatting it repeatedly but as far as the format function I believe it was created in order for you to reset every thing to default so you can run your computer like new completely erasing off the hard drive it shouldn't be too much different from formatting a phone I don't think you have to much to worry about to be honest

    I don't own a mobile phone, however I had to erase everything from my iPod Touch 5th Generation just once, and that was due to a specific application that would not delete.. i don't know why, but every time I tried to delete the app it would always come back. Very odd indeed.

    I had an experience in installing the operating system of computers in the office lab. Formatting a hard disk clears everything and they say it runs like brand new. But that’s only in terms of contents which are erased so it feels like brand new. But physically, the hard disk surface is not new anymore. I don’t think there is a relation between the wear and tear vis-à-vis formatting of the hard disk. If the hard disk is durable, it wouldn’t matter if you format it every once in a while.
