    WordPress Customizer Keeps logging me out! Why? How to fix!?

    Whenever I go to use Customizer on my WP site, it keeps logging me out.

    It was working fine last night. Actually, it was doing it to me before but then seemed to sort itself out somehow. But today on trying to use it again and customize my site. It keeps logging me out again!

    I've tried searching around about this but virtually everything found suggest making sure the URLS in WordPress Address (URL) field and the Site Address (URL) field in Settings page are the same. Well they are! They always have been.

    I've tried changing themes. The same thing happens.
    I've tried disabling all pluigins. The same thing happens.

    It just keeps incessantly logging me out and wont let me customize my site.

    Has anyone else ever experienced this with WP and know the way to fix it?

    Your help greatly appreciated.

    Hmmm unusual... You may try to clear history and cookies then try again. If that continuously happen after changing theme and disabling plugins, i don't have better idea.

    Thanks Anweb, tried all of that. It's still doing it. Can't find anything on it. I'm completely stumped!

    Have you tried to edit the wp-config.php file, simply login via ftp and add this code below to "wp-config.php" with www or without www as you prefer.

    define('WP_SITEURL','http://seoclerk.xyz');

    If that does not work , try to install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-l...imeout-settings/, which allow you to change login timeout settings.

    Yes! I tried that in the wp-config file. It greys out those fields in the settings area when you do that but it didn't have any effect.

    I will try that plugin and let you know if it works!

    Oh man that plugin is a nightmate! It just keeps logging me out and wont let me login again now. What have you recommeneded to me here Pro! LOL

    What is the issue? What is the fix? Why is this happening? One of lifes mysteries! Will I ever get to the bottom of it? Google can't help. WordPress can't help. My host can't help. My mods can't help. I'm really honestly out of ideas! Tried everything under the sun. Might try reinstalling WP actually haven't tried that yet. Oh my...

    I think this was bug which was appearing on some wordpress installations. I have seen some of the wp installs on php 5.6 and they have this issue. So this can be corrected. And even upgrading the php version could solve this issue in near future. So that being said, I am just wondering how many people have resolved it with mere wordpress upgrade.
