Since i heard of this new feature introduced by Facebook, to make live broadcasting, i was always curios about it and excited to try it for my self. For some time it was not available to all people, then after it was possible from some countries to broadcast, then in meantime i even forgot about it, so i have to check if it's available for anyone to do, so i can play with that, as it sounds like FUN 
But did anyone of you try it so far and can you share your experience, how effective it is to do live broadcasting, specially when it comes to social media marketing??
I've seen a lot of people doing this recently and I wonder how affective it is. I get notifications of people being "Live" and I never really check them out. I mainly don't check them out because every time I've seen the notification, they're already done broadcasting lol.
From a marketing stand point, I think this would work really well for some people who have big pages that are personalized. Like if someone is trying to brand themselves and not a business name. I know there are plenty of people out there that have tons of followers on facebook and if they just set up a broadcast whenever they're doing something, I'm sure it would be a hit since all the people following him or her will get notified when he or she is live. You could even take it one step further and notify everyone by posting on your profile that you're going live tomorrow at whatever time you choose, and I'm sure people will remember to check you out. This could also be a really good way for people to build an email list muahahaha. You could post something like "I'll be going live at 3pm CST tomorrow. If you're worried about missing out, just go HERE (a link to a website) and fill out the form and we'll notify you an hour beforehand!" Facebook notifies people that someone is live when they begin, but you can collect peoples emails an let them know you'll be live in an hour :D

Glad to hear that from someone who use it, and nice to hear you positive feedback on that. Long ago i was watching some videos about it on YouTube and it was very impressive, so i guess i will try to play with that and test what i can achieve. For beginning i maybe start broadcasting some live music to my friends until i get some experience with that, but i bet it's pure FUN :)

Well you are already active YouTuber, so instead recording video you can go live sometime, on some occasions and test what brings you better results. Depend how good or big your Facebook audience is, but something interesting is spreading out fast and i guess it can get you more followers. Yet, don't take it so seriously, you can play bit with that for fun too :)

I haven't personally used it yet. Both not yet on a personal and or a business level. But this could actually be useful for a lot of legitimate reasons and be a very effective and powerful tool for marketers and affiliates as well. As Raz has pointed out it could be used to grow your list, but also for other reasons that may bring people together for some reason and used in the same way as you would when holding a Webinar.
It's quite easy to use as well if you have the Facebook app on your iPhone or Android phone. Just go to where you would type a status and click the live video broadcast button, add a description and click Go Live and after 3 seconds you'll be streaming live to Facebook. You might want to play around with the Privacy Settings though if you want only certain people to be able to view the stream else anyone can view it!
So I think this could be very effective when it comes to social media marketing. Whether you're using it to keep your fans/followers updated with some important event or news or using it to stream some event going on right now like a festival or a business meeting. Effectively putting people in the seat of that room or place but from the comfort of their own mobile device or desktop/laptop etc.
In fact, this would be a very powerful tool for getting affiliates for SEOClerks! Simply live streaming and talking about your success and tips and ticks and all things affiliate marketing and promotion to people who want to mimic or duplicate your own success.
