Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".

Hello,
The first thing you should do, is to read this if you haven't already:
Have you discovered Steemit yet? The social networking site that pays you to contribute

It's the article Mike made a few days ago. It's because of him I joined steemit and now I'll tell you what I've realized & experienced during these 4 days..

So basically, you create posts and you CAN make money. I don't know exactly how everything works and I guess one will never find out. You can mine it to increase your profits, that I know.

People makes LOADS of cash here...
Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".

And.. being skeptical.. I created a post too.. (After a few hours of researching.)

Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".
That's my earnings. Not too shabby. (Although I used a photo that I knew would draw attention.. What's better than a pair of ... ehm.)

Steem earnings..

However, you earn steem dollar and steem power on steemit so you will NOT get the whole amount. It's divided, so you will get both SP and SD.

Here's what it says about Steem Power:

STEEM POWER
Steem Power, influence tokens that earn more power for holding long term and voting on posts. The more one holds the more one can influence other’s rewards and earn rewards for accurate voting.

Also, you won't be able to withdraw your money so easily. You can't just withdraw the money to your paypal account or anything like that.

To withdraw anything from steemit, you'll have to do this:
Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".
So, it's not the biggest problem ever, but it's still quite inconvenient.

steemit is also new.. What do you think will happen?

Do you think steemit will grow into one of the biggest social media platforms out there?

There's already a bunch of proofs of payments. I'll be lurking around for a while, until I finally decide whether to put some serious time into this or not.

Best Regards,
hitmeasap

You're no longer a spy when you tell people that you're a spy. Seems you have forgotten the Spy 101 courses. LOL

I have mixed feelings about the steemit website. I mean it would be amazing if you could earn that much money just by posting on a social networking website, however if something is too good to be true than it most likely is. I don't understand exactly how the Steem dollars function.

Do you just post content, and hope to get views and then get steem dollars? Do you have to have a following on the steem website and post and then earn the steem dollars?

I'm hoping you can "spy" until you get paid and let us all know how it worked out for you. So please keep us updated. Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".

Oh, I must have been sick that day. Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".

Yeah, I have mixed feelings too. It's actually a bit too much things one cannot understand, and that's annoying.

STEEM POWER is one of those things. You'll get it from posting, voting and getting up-votes on your content, just like you'll earn steam dollars for the same things.. However, you can also buy STEEM POWER, with your earnings which is Steem dollars OR with bitcoin. Steem power is, what it looks to be, the REAL power and the real game changer. With Steem power you'll get more exposure and more votes. It's that simple. I can't tell you how, but it just is that way.

You can also "power down" which basically means that you'll turn your steem power into steem instead, and steem is the currency you can sell for real cash by doing the steps in the first post. However, if and when you "power down" you'll get the amount spread out on 104 weeks, with a payment once per week or something like that.. As I'm not a regular user yet I have still much to learn, but that's at least how I understand things.

Also, it's something about interest. You'll earn up to 10% interest on your steem power, per year, or something like that.. So yeah, they award you with steem power, steem and steem dollars. All of them are your money but only 1 of them can be withdrawn, so you'll have to turn the other two into that.. Kind of.

You can follow others and they can follow you. I don't know why anyone should. I haven't got any notifications so far, from any of the people I follow. I follow 2 and both of them have made new topics today. Perhaps that will change in the future.

You basically just create your post and hope it will get tons of votes. If you have a lot of steem power, this will happen naturally and much easier.

I know that my post most probably sounds awkward and weird.. And I know.. but it is. At least for me! Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".

Hopefully you'll get something out of this Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".

Best Regards,
hitmeasap

I'm Pro Steemit! For one reason that they like to give back to the people that help to make it. And because it has the power and potential to make a massive difference in the lives of those people that use it and make it work for them. How long that will last I don't know although I do expect it will become harder and harder to earn Steemit dollars no matter how viral or good your posts are that we will see. I guess those that are on board now in it's early days that put Steemit to use will see the best returns for it.

Some of Steemits top earners are on around 50k now or something like that. But if it carries on like this then it has the potential to turn social media marketing on its head! For so long the greedy fat cat conglomerates of all the top social media sites have sucked every penny possible out of their users and how much of that have they ever given back? Not a single cent or penny! Steemit turns that right round on it's head and rewards its users for the contribution to the site no matter how you use it. Provided you have what it takes to post high quality stuff or things that go popular, if even for a while. One only has to spend 5 minutes looking around to see there are people earning hundreds of Steemit dollars for the most ridiculous posts!

Whatever happens, it's going to be an interesting journey to see where it ends up! And I fully intend to witness it all!

Yeah! Some people have INSANE earnings already.. And that's kind of scary actually.. How knows where this will end? -That being said, you can still hear insane "fairytales" about bitcoins too..

Here is one for instance:
How a 15-Year-Old’s $1,000 Bitcoin Investment Led to Startup Success

A $1000 investment made him $100,000.. That's INSANE.

So why wouldn't Steem as a cryptocurrency be able to reach the same value, or at least somewhere near the bitcoin success? -I truly believe that one should act NOW and not wait for "better days" so to speak.. If you sit around waiting you'll probably have a harder time further on to make anything.

Now I just said I won't be checking it out and I read what you have to say so I had a look. I just can't get my head around how people earn real money. Call me dumb but I just don't get it. Money comes from somewhere, in order to pay money to people the money must come from somewhere right?

But I just had a look at Steemit now, even though I wasn't going to and it looks like people are earning. Are they able to cash out though? That is the big question. Having nice big $$$ signs means nothing if you can't pay your rent with it... I have $3000 sitting in some scam accounts that I tried out, and of course I will never see that. I am skeptic...

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

hitmeasap
Yeah, well, here's an article:
How to convert Steem to USD / EUR

That's how you'll be able to withdraw your steem. So you can use it as real money so to speak.

And yeah, the money comes from somewhere and I don't know where but that is steem. That's what I know. The cryptocurrency. I'm a total rookie and don't know how bitcoins and all that works at all, but this works in the same way I guess. More or less at least. You'll be awarded with steem currencies (steem, steem dollar and steem power) and that is worth nothing until someone buys it from you. And exchange sites are doing just that. They buy, and buy and buy again. So you'll be able to cashout.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Well Bitcoins also make me nervous because I can't get my head around it at all.

I suppose this is something my 4 year old will catch on quicker than me.

I've been wanting to start up on steemit to see what I can make. I know I can get some posts to be pretty popular by doing some tactics I've learned from doing online marketing over the years Steemit - 4 Days of "spying". I want to eventually get one good post up a day in order to see what I can make. If I can make $15 a day on there starting off, after the steem and money split, I'd be happy.

The withdraw system seems pretty odd, but I can get use to it fairly quick since I understand all the lingo. I'm not too big into mining so i don't understand the marketplace that well. I'm sure I could do some research for a week or so and figure everything out in order to streamline everything so that I'm not having tons of headaches lol Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".

Their system is pretty new so I wonder if I could automate this at some level. I wouldn't want to post crappy articles in risk of getting my account suspended or even banned. My automation would be more of setting up a few people in order to outsource to for work. I would basically hire people to write up posts and make them well written in order to increase conversions. These people MUST know English and be good writers. The better the write, the more potential the post has to make money in the long, or short, run.

I think I may take a chance and pay some of my writers to write up a few 1,000 words posts with images and possibly a video, then I'll publish it. After they're posted I'll begin to research the marketplace and figure out how to withdraw the earnings. This way the posts can hopefully make a bunch of money and when I figure everything out I'll be ready to withdraw Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

hitmeasap
I hear you Razzy. However, one thing that I've come to realize, is that you don't need to be native in english or a superb writer. Literally anyone can earn. It all comes to up-votes on your content. Bring good content and people will like it. That's how you'll earn. With that being said, you could still do what you've stated above. That way you'll probably have "more luck" so to speak. But up-votes isn't everything on steemit, which is why I think it's really interesting.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

procoder
I'm still trying to figure it out how that really works, i've done a lot of research on google and now i'm more confused than i was before. And it's true that you can earn from upvotes because i've seen some of their videos on youtube, but upvotes are not the main thing is this case, i mean should be something else. I think steemit it's getting too popular each day, because everyone loves money, and especially when you can earn them by posting social content (like in facebook), but to be honest i don't see it as something that will last for long, maybe i'm wrong but this it's just my opinion.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

hitmeasap
I do agree with you.. Things are a bit fuzzy and shady but it does work. At least so far, as I've seen several people withdrawing their earnings without any problems at all. Steem is a real cryptocurrency and 1 steem is worth about $1, right now. I'm still way to new on this site to answer questions really, but I find this very interesting, which is why I'm spending some time there at least.

And yes. If you read my post above, you'll see that there's actually 3 different types of "money" on steemit. Steem, steem dollars and steem power. And Steem Power is a deciding factor when it comes to your earnings. If you have A LOT of steem power you'll get A LOT of upvotes and exposure. I think it's like the bump feature on SEOClerks kind of. You "bump" your content by having tons of Steem power, but not actually bump it to the top, but your content will stay there for a longer period of time.. or something.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

procoder
Oh that makes sense now. And yeah it's a very interesting thing, but my question is from where money come? And imagine what a crazy algorithm it's behind that site. Whoever invented it , should be a mastermind.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Lynne
Yes Procoder that is where I get lost where is the money coming from?

I will wait for some more updates from Hitmeasap. If and when Hitmeasap makes some money and cashes it out, as in the real money then I might be interested.

The other problem is that perhaps this is working now, but some things have a little explosion when they start and then they disappear into thin air very soon afterwards. I will wait and see what happens with this.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

hitmeasap
Lynne. As stated in the other reply to Procoder. I will make a withdrawal as soon as I can, so we can get some proof of this being legit. However, I've seen tons of proofs from others already, so I know that it's working, but I'll do it anyways, just to make me feel even more comfortable.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Lynne
Yes I will wait on that and would also love to know how much effort you put into it and how much money you got out of it and whether you then think it is worth the time and effort Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".

Thank you for sharing on all of this, it is nice to get some real honest feedback on things.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I think the money, based upon what I know, comes from an exchange. Let me try to put this in words everyone can understand, including myself. LOLOL.

So you post content, and earn a currency. Once you reach the amount of this currency you would then withdraw the currency, which would go through an exchange, and i think you have to wait until some uses bitcoin or even USD to buy the steem currency.

I hope this makes sense to everyone, it's a little confusing. But I think it's based upon a method of supply and demand. People will pay for a cryptocurrency that is kinda hard to earn, and will exchange bitcoin or USD for.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

hitmeasap
That's correct. But, the cryptocurrency.. Steem, Steem Power and Steem Dollars.. How do you get those? -Sure, you create content and you'll be awarded with those, if you're lucky (or if you have lots of steem power etc... Or if you have big boobs.)

But where does that come from? Is that just some fantasy/fake currency you see, until you exchange it? (when someone PAYS for it)?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Lynne
Yes but where does the money come from? I can't get this, I am just missing something... I feel sooooo stupid Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

idealmike
People are buying Steem dollars with real money. So they are putting money into Steem which increases its value. The other day 1 Steem dollar was worth around $1 USD dollar. Right now 1 Steem dollar is worth $3 USD.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Lynne
OK that makes sense MIke, but why would anyone want to buy Steem Dollars? Is it just because they believe in the website and are willing to invest in the hopes that they make a profit out of investing in it?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Everett
From my understanding, the money comes from investors.

Let me put it this way:

You, as in investor, want to buy cryptocurrency. You have multiple options.. Steem is a new cryptocurrency, apparently, and you want in on the fun. So you would either:

A. Buy Bitcoin, and exchange for steem
B. Buy steem

I even think this system is flawed too.. still doesn't make 100% sense to me either. Why would anyone want steem dollars? There are more established cryptocurrencies already on the marketplace, and soon there probably be tons of it, and it all inflate.

Cryptocurrencies are also suppose to be hard to create thus the need to mine or whatever else you do for them.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

idealmike
Yeah but none of them are tied directly into a social media site. This is a culmination of different technologies coming together and creating one awesome beast of a machine that will go from strength to strength. The other day 1 Steem dollar was worth around $1 USD dollar. Right now 1 Steem dollar is worth $3 USD. It will peak a bit more for a while I'd imagine and then eventually it will settle down. But it will be interesting to see what happens none the less! Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I'll wait for Andre to test it all out and withdraw and then let us know if it is worthwhile at all.

Even if money can be made with Steemit I am not sure it will be worth my while to do it?

Waiting on Andre's research....

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Well, i'm not gonna say it's not worth it but definitely is worth it to just look into it.. Explore all possibilities as it were.

Lynne. I'll come back with an update shortly. Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".
This site does bring that "WOW" factor indeed and I'll shortly give you some more in-depth information about it all. From my perspective and my experience. However, I would like to withdraw some funds before another update, but I'm more interested in spending my earnings on more Steem Power... Steemit - 4 Days of "spying". (As that's one of the key factors to generate more earnings).

Well, I'll try to figure something out shortly and update you all once I've made the first withdrawal Steemit - 4 Days of "spying".

Stay tuned!

Procoder.
I'm not into all this cryptocurrency-thing and I'm actually a total rookie when it comes to anything like this. I barely know what bitcoin are, other than it's a form of money. Steem, is another cryptocurrency, much like bitcoin, and you're awarded steem, steem power and steem dollars for your contributions. How the actual "mining" and earnings are divided to different topics, replies and votes are impossible for me to say. I just know that it works. I used the earnings I showed you above to purchase a little bit more Steem Power, and I will continue to do so, with the earnings I get from my contributions. However, I will try to make a withdrawal shortly, just to make things easier for all of us. So we all can see that this actually works!

I know that site it's working and it's legit, i don't doubt it, but i just wonder because i want to understand it better how that really works. Also, i'm totally agree with you, and wish you good luck with earnings. And i'm sure that things will be more clear over the time.

I guess it seemed just too good to be true from the start. I saw the previous discussion on this site but did not get to check it out, so thanks for doing so and sharing your experience. I find it problematic and time consuming to go through that process you described to get your earnings, as I am used to simply withdrawing to PayPal and that's it. Obviously every site has its rules, and there are going to be many who find it okay as long as they earn something at least, especially if they enjoy posting and earning from it. The concept is a bit difficult to understand for some, but it has its good points since at least they pay something to contributors.

You and me both. I use Paypal for basically everything. I find it odd how every time I contact paypal for an issue they always make sure to compliment me in how many years I've been using it.. It's kinda annoying at the same time too. :/

Also, I think you could get paypal cash if you were to withdraw the steem dollars for bitcoin, and then convert the bitcoin to USD and then get paypal cash. But not everyone is willing to do that, especially since it's kinda hard to find someone willing to buy those Steem dollars since it's so new.

You shuold not post this website here... Now many sellers will try to bot/exploit the social network to earn lots of money...

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

First of all.. Why shouldn't people know about it? This is SEOClerks community discussion, this is a knowledge bank. Secondly, idealmike was the first person to mention this site. I became a member because of him. What I've done in this post, is simply stating my own experience I've had during these days I've been a member. I can't see anything wrong with that at all.

Steemit is shared literally everywhere. Most users on steemit shares their articles daily on Facebook for instance, so it's just a matter of time until people joins. Exploit and Bot, sure, but it's not as simple as one can think. You can't just make a bot and make it up-vote your content. You won't earn anything by doing that.

Steemit has thought these things through. That's why they have 3 different "currencies" so to speak. Steem, Steem dollar and Steem power. All three are working hand in hand so it's hard to find a loophole to generate earnings by using a bot for instance. And mine, why not? -They allow it and even when it comes to mining, they have certain things working which makes it nearly impossible to do anything crazy.

Oh and btw. People are even down-voting scammers and fraudsters content, so they end up with nothing.. So it doesn't matter how many accounts you create. You won't earn anything. On top of that, you'll even need to verify your account by posting photos of yourself with a "steemit" sign. All these steps are taken due to fraud and scam attempts... So well. I still believe I've done nothing wrong in sharing this with everyone.

Best Regards,
hitmeasap

I agree! There will always be people like that wherever the site is shared. There will always be people that try and scam it somehow. It's been like that on Facebook and Twitter and other social media sites since their inception! However this has already been thought about on Steemit and the system is built on top of the blockchain so there is no way you can do that anyway as far as I cn see but I also am not entirely clued up on it yet! LOL You haven't done anything wrong making this post, that's like saying you shouldn't post about Facebook or something in case someone tries to scam it. Come on! That is some naive narrow minded thinking!? You can't not do something in case there are some unscrupulous people waiting to do something nefarious with it. If we thought like that about everything we'd have anything to talk about! And you can't keep a site like Steemit under wraps! It's going to be bigger than Facebook and all the other social media sites and I think Mark Zuckerburger is probably a little worried about it too. Good! And good on you for being OPEN and HONEST. That's what makes this community a great one in that we can feel free to express and convey our experiences about any website, medium or del facto of life on the community discussion area here without fear of reprisal. Direct or indirect. Connected or unrelated. There will always be the dark side of life. But we mustn't stop living in the light because of them! You crack on Andre, you crack on!
