    How many days to finish?

    Hi! I am new here. I am hoping I am doing this right. My question is - When creating your listing it asks how long to complete- Does that mean how long until you start the project or how long until the entire project is completed? Say I am advertising for you for 7 days so add a day for the day you order so I see it and put 8 days? Or just the 1 day for me to see and get started? Thank you for any help you can be in answering my question.

    Hi txsharon, yes that is how long it till take you to complete the work. So if it's going to take you a minimum of 3 days to complete it, put 3 days. But in most cases, it's best to add several days on top just in case of delays etc. So if it takes you 3 days to complete the work, put 5 days. That way it gives you a bit of time to complete it plus a couple days extra in case of delays. Also this way, if you put 5 days to complete and deliver it in 2-3 days time, the buyer is probably going to appreciate that so it can work towards you doing that.

    Thank you! Yes now I understand. Good idea to add a day or 2 also just incase. You never know when something unexpected might come up. Thank you for responding. How many days to finish?

    Yes always good to give yourself some extra time in case you need it. Plus you might often be able to complete work early, which is great. I am a buyer and when someone finishes a job before the time promised I love it and it makes me really notice the seller. As a new seller this could help you get return customers How many days to finish?

    Hi txsharon! Welcome!! And that normally means how long it will take you to deliver your service to your client...for instance you said it takes 7 days for completion of your service, that is what you would put. And the count down starts from the time they order your service! Hope this helps, feel free to ask questions!!!

    Thank you for responding. I did it right then lol. I put 8 days 1 for seeing where someone wants the service 7 for the service. Now hoping I do some good. How many days to finish?

    It refers to the amount of time you feel you are going to need to complete the service. It is important to be realistic about it, while adding a couple of days, just to be on the safe side. Once someone places an order you will receive a notification and an email, but it could be that you are not able to see to the order immediately. Let's say you are sick or do not have an internet connection. It is important that you forecast well as you want to make sure that you do not go beyond the deadline as that reflects badly on your credibility.

    Hi txsharon thanks for your interesting question. If I understand correctly your question, my answer is it is completely depend on your project. And depend on your project plan. Because, all services deadline are not same. Some of may need 5 days and some may need 8 days and some may need 24 hours. So, it is up to you. If you have previous experience to do that job, calculate yourself how many hours you had spend. Then decide it how many days may total need?. But, I request to you, do not set the very tight deadline. If you think, you are able to complete job within 5 days, set the time 6 days, because any reasons, it may delay 1 day.
    So, 1 days more times left means project will not make a late delivery, which looks more good between you and buyer.

    I noticed that the expected delivery time is 5 days, however your service states 7 days. So my question is, why are you delivering the work before the expected delivery time duration is finished?
