Well, I can't say much more than that, my girlfriend, even though she's supportive and all that, she's "old school" and doesn't like the fact that I'm working online. She's more for that "normal life" where one should go to an office or whatever. The "normal" 9-5 job so to speak. And, my mother, she's supportive and always has been, but she's against the whole concept of internet more or less :D
Friends, well.. Most of them are working on their 9-5 jobs or are unemployed. I should probably get some new friends :D

I agree with you. I've been working full time online for the last 4-5 years now, and I've been with my girlfriend for 5 years.. Even so, she still doesn't get it, even though she likes the money that's coming in every now and then. She still thinks that a 9-5 job is how you should work, as that's "how you've always done it". Which is a bit sad, as I can't really discuss things with her regarding my business.
The same goes for my mother and most of my friends. I think my mom is the only one who's actually trying to understand, even though she hates the internet. :D

I'm not really a big social networking junky like some people are. I'm not one of those people that needs to spend every waking minute of their life constantly crawling and trawling social media sites and gushing over other peoples pictures and status updates. I actually hardly use social networking sites for personal reasons today at all. In fact, I use social media sites more for business reasons than I do anything else.

I probably use Facebook more than any other because it's a part of my business and the services that I offer on SEOClerks. So if I have orders in the queue, I'll be on and off Facebook all day using different accounts. But I also use Google+ equally as much as it's the same for that too. That and Pinterest are about my top 3 social networking sites I use the most often but again, mainly for business use.

I prefer Google+ these days because it's not as restrictive as Facebook is and people on Google+ are generally more responsive and I get more traffic and business from Google+ than I do any other social networking site.

I don't really use any social networking site for personal reasons these days. I'm far too busy and much more interested in learning how to grow my business and use them for business reasons than I am using them for personal reasons. Seeing pictures of peoples animals and knowing what they're cooking for dinner doesn't really appeal to me that much. It's just a time suck!

If I had to give any up or had to use only one only for the rest of my life, I'd drop Facebook like a hot brick and just use Google+ all the time. I think it's better because Google don't limit your reach and what sort of things you can do for business reasons unlike Facebook do.

The Facebook account I have now isn't the one I used to have. I use it for both personal and business reasons but mainly for business reasons rather than personal ones. It's good not to mix personal with business sometimes because sometimes you want a break from all the business related stuff and just want to be a person. But that doesn't put food on the table and keep the bills paid! :)
