    I would like to see Alerts segmented

    As you know when you get an alert you will see the small [1] next to the Alerts. Since I get alerts for my orders and alerts that arise from replies or comments made in the community discussions, I was thinking that it would be better to have the Alerts section segmented accordingly. It would be easier to see the alerts according to their nature, and since the ones related to orders are very important I would be able to notice what type of alert came in accordingly, and without the need for clicking on Alerts every time.

    That's not a bad idea. Or perhaps, even if they were a different colour? Like blue for CD alerts and normal red for SC alerts.

    I would like it if the CD alert took me to the actual post in the CD in the same way as the forum used to because sometimes a CD can have a lot of new answers in them but it opens the CD from the top and you have to scroll down to see which answer the alert is reminding you of. Which is fine really but if there was some tag that was attached to the URL so it auto scrolled to the alert it's telling you about.

    I'm sure you know what I mean! But having 2 separate alerts would be useful for knowing what is a CD and what's an SC alert.

    I'd go with different colors, that would be perfect!
    Red for the standard SEOClerks alerts and blue, like you mentioned, would be great for the Community Discussion alerts. By adding this "color theme" you could still keep the "alerts" at the top in the menu, without changing it at all. There would be no need for any additional alert section or anything like that at all, in case the alerts would be separated by colors. Good suggestion EliteWriter, and nice idea with the colors Mike!

    Basically you the want the alerts categorized based upon the areas of the site, yes? This could be beneficial as we only see just the number of alerts we have now. However, how would the labels work?

    Do you want the label to show up with only one label or have many indicating the new alerts?

    Just seeing something like this would be ideal, where red are the normal alerts attributed to orders, blue are the alerts for the messages we get to the Inbox, and green the alerts for community discussions replies etc. Obviously this is just an example: Alerts [3] [1] [2] ... something like that. Because at the moment everything is added up together as you know. I think something like this would be very helpful.

    I think that is an awesome idea. When you are very busy and need to prioritize that would come in handy big time.

    Yes and with the color suggestion we went a step beyond as he came up with a simple but very effective way to segregate alerts. I believe it would be helpful for us all and hope that it will be taken into consideration by admin.
