Is it possible to edit a tweet in Twitter?

I want to edit some of my older tweets to fix grammar errors and update with more relevant information. Is it possible to edit a tweet?

It is currently not possible to edit a tweet after it has been posted. According to New User FAQ via Twitter:

The only way to edit your tweet would be to actually delete the tweet, and then tweet the message. A lot of users have asked why they can't edit their tweets, and so far the Twitter never really gives a solid answer, they just state that it's "easier said than done". So you may have to live with your grammar errors and typos until Twitter decides to make a function that will allow it's users to edit tweets. It should already be a function users could have access to, but for some reason they don't.

Hi sanfora Thanks for your nice question. And I tried to read several article for this issue and all are almost same answers, like you can not edit. For example: if you publish any message on twitter update as like status, it is called tweet and you can not edit this tweet again, if you want to re-correct. But you have one option just like delete as trash that specific tweet and repost on you profile as your want. So, I suggest to you, before posting any tweet make sure first, Is everything alright? Than go for it.

If your tweet has a typo or an error, there's a super easy way to fix it: just delete it and repost the tweet. If you were able to edit a tweet even minutes after sending it, you could easily trick a lot of people.
