When I was pregnant, I had very oily hair and skin and it was a real pain to deal with. At the time, I just used a shampoo designed for oily hair. But if you want a natural remedy you might try lemon juice. It's supposed to help. Also, a little baking soda (powder) lightly applied to scalp once a week should dry up excess oil.

Leave the shampoo on for five minutes so it can absorb the oil and then rinse well. Only condition the ends of your hair.

I have read that you can use vinegar as a rinse and this will help to cut some grease. I am not sure how well it works though.

make a mix of your regular shampoo, and some lemon juice, like 2 teaspoons. Also you can put some baking soda, it will clean any rest of hair gel, hair cream and bad smell. Apply on you hair, specially the roots, leave it for about 2 minutes, then rinse it with lots of cold water. The final rinse before you get out of shower, add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to the water, rinse the hair and let it dry. It will get super shiny and clean.

Yes that is true. I have used a shampoo with this in it and my hair was then very greasy.

Use a shampoo with mint. Some would say that preserving the natural oils in your hair is healthy, but I tried to do so before and it gave me a lot of dandruff and I suffered from an itchy scalp. It's not worth it at all, so I suggest you keep using shampoo. Use shampoo wth mint as it cools down your scalp and stops it from producing too much oil.

Though I do not have oily hair I have read a couple of times on beauty blogs,that you wash your hair with shampoo leaving it for sometime to absorb the oil before applying hair conditioner. So you can try this.

I am not a lady, but I have heard that using the shampoo can really assist in solving the issue of oily hair. All you need to do is to always allow the shampoo stay a bit longer in your hair as well before rinsing it off.

Using the proper shampoo is the key. Imagine you have oily hair and you apply a creamy, oily shampoo for dry hair... that will be the mess of your life. Also, you can add astringent elements like lemon juice, vinegar, baking soda, that will help keep the greasy part under control.

You may not believe this but my husband is not using shampoo for his hair. For almost 10 years now, he is using the white laundry soap for his hair. Perla is the brand of the laundry soap which is rich in coconut oil. It’s ironic because you will be using soap with coconut oil to remove the oil in your hair. But it works. He had learned that soap from his boss who said that the white laundry soap can make the hair stronger and also prevents baldness and gray hair.

The common cause for super oily hair is your scalp overcompensating from being dried out. Get a sea-salt shampoo or finishing spray. Or just add 1-3 tablespoons of sea salt to your regular shampoo.
