For awhile, I was all into the Star Trek genre TV shows. I've seen every incarnation of Star Trek on TV. 
I was such a Trek devotee.
And, then of course, Angel, a show about a vampire detective. That show was a spin off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Later on, I loved reality shows, such as Survivor Man and cooking competition shows. And, then the last four seasons of Dexter. Very bizarre!
Recently, I'm more into situational drama shows such as Mad Men. I really love the complexity of the story line and how things don't always work out the way you think they will.
I'm trying to start on a new Netflix original show. I will see how it goes and report back.

Once upon a time is defintely one of my favorites. I really like that show, though sometimes the story line is really fantastical! When they introduced Mulan i was like, '... um, really?' :P
You might think my favorite character would be Snow White. :P
But, ironically I like the Rumpelstiltskin more. He's such a tortured soul. I like seeing his evolution and how he swings from affectionate doting boyfriend to evil overlord, sometimes in the same episode. :)
The flashbacks really help flesh out the character so you can get to know them all.
I'm only on season three though, so if you have seen this series, please don't spoil it for me. :)

Damn I'm from Portugal but the most of the series you are talking about, I love them and watch them!
Last time I saw Buffy if I'm not wrong were at 2001! Holly Jesus
Now the top of the last years for me:
- Dexter , Smallvile, Merlin, Heroes, Spartacus, Burn Notice, Nip Tuck, The Walking Dead and the most recent The Flash..
This ones are the series I love the most, I also like alot The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad as cartoons
And for last and not only the animes that I'm crazy for are, One Piece and Naruto.
