My domain registrar and host offers hosted exchange email. Can you explain what this is and how it's used?

Hosted emails are two services. In first type you get to download the services mails into your outlook and thunderbird. And you get to download them from your hosts mail server exchange. In case of the second option you get GSuite and hosted emails options. Here your host allows that for you. And you get to work with mails with our own mail portal. Zoho, GSuite, hordemail etc are good options in that case.
