Can you find a job using a social network?

Sites like LinkedIn are really good for posting professional profiles/resumes, especially if you are searching for a job. But, are there any other social networking sites where you can network and meet professionals in the same industry? If so, please share a link.

You can contact your desired /dream company's social profiles directly > twitter , facebook , linkedin every where .. all are ready to hire from social networks but you should maintain your profile as a professional and as a candidate for an interview before having contact with them .. am i right buddies ?

Definitely, The sites like LinkedIn is good for post resumes and find jobs.But in other networking site you can find the social and business group and person but that not for jobs properly.

I think for job searching Linkedin ans Facebook is good and for business purpose other networking sites like Instagram, Twitter are good.

LinkedIn is by FAR the best for professional networking and career finding. However, building relationships on Facebook (mostly people you know) can also open opportunities. Don't rule out Twitter though, you build relationships with your followers and they just might recommend you if they hear about some opportunity that you would be qualified for.

Maybe it depends on your industry as to whether or not you can use LinkedIn or Facebook for job hunting. If you can post a resume and talk with others in your industry, then maybe you can make connections and land a job interview.

I have seen people get jobs using the social media networks. So, it is quite possible for one to get work as long as you can be able to state your professional career skills and all that. It can get complicated, but with good communication, it is possible.

You can find a job through social media sites. However, in order to make jobs accessible to you, you need to follow employment-related services or companies that hire people in large numbers. There are many companies that advertise through social media sites. You can easily apply to these companies through social media pages. However, in order to increase the chance of getting hired, you need to make your profile look very professional. If you are doing offensive things on social media, it is less likely to be hired.

For social media, I think LinkedIn is the most popular place to seek for and get jobs from the professionals on the network but aside that other network like Facebook and Twitter can help one have a job.My brother had his job from Facebook.A friend on his friend list posted some vacancies in his place of work and my brother applied after the rigorous interview process he was picked and he has been working with the company till date.There are always postings like this on some social platform.

I have been seeing wanted ads on the posts of some friends in Facebook and sometimes there are posts about looking for work. It looks like social media is now being used for the purpose of promoting your interest. Like if you are searching for a vacation place, you can post on social media about the experience of your friends in a particular place. With a job, I think social media will be a place of classified advertisements for job offers and wanted jobs.
