    How can I get more comments on my Youtube videos?

    I am trying to kickstart my Youtube channel to make it more popular. I have just over a dozen videos and thousands of views already but only a few comments. I would like to get a real conversation going on with the people who watch my videos. How can I get the viewers to make comments?

    If you recording your self on video, you can ask them at the end of video to subscribe and leave they comment. I see that every day on popular channels. Or add text to video for same.

    Yes, i agree, but also many YouTubers don't record own voice, so option is to display text link to subscribe How can I get more comments on my Youtube videos?

    i think you should do some motivation to people to comment or if video interested and people need more info they will ask and comment

    If a Youtube person takes the time to ask for a subscribe and a like on the video, then I will give that favor. It's not such a huge deal and seems that people are more willing to give likes on Youtube and subscribe than they are to follow on Facebook and like posts.

    Interacting with your subscribers or any people commenting on your video would be the best option. Since you are still having small views, you can spare some time replying those small number of comments and that would open up some conversations about whatever your video is about. Also, you can share your videos on social medias. That method seems to be working for some.

    First things first, is your video interesting enough to deserve a comment? Second, if your video soliciting a comment? Some videos that are really interesting doesn't need a reaction from the viewer. But for a video that stirs something controversial, surely the comments will come. Also, you can solicit comments by mentioning it in your promotional posts - I am assuming you are promoting your video in social media. Let your friends know that you want a comment on the video you are promoting.
