Why do some people click the dislike button?

On my channel, some people click the dislike button. I asked one guy why he did it and he just said, 'No reason. Just wanted to.

Why do some people act that way? Don't they understand it's hurting the channel owner?

There will always be some mean people in the world or those people who choose the wrong path every time. Some people are just being trolls, others really believe that clicking the dislike or thumbs down button is the right thing. This could be true if they just don't like the video and feel like it's their job to warn others the video is no good.

These people are just mean and have nothing better to do than terrorize you and make your day miserable. Those people don't really have a life and just want to make the life you have worse. Just ignore them and go on.

If you mean with the dislike button is the downward hand in Youtube then I guess it was placed there for a purpose. You can click it if you don’t like the video so I guess those clicking the dislike button were somehow offended or bored with the video. But I admit that competing video channel owners also click on the dislike button of the videos of their competitors.
