    Don't spam on Twitter or your followers will leave. A few promotional links to relevant content that could actually help your followers might be tolerated. But, if you are spamming links every few hours to your followers, they will get tired and unfollow you quickly.

    I guess spamming is not allowed on any site especially if you are spamming about your business site. Another issue that you should avoid is making derogatory tweets about a person or even non-person like places. Tweeting that a place is bad can put you in hot water. Re-tweeting is one good way of refreshing your connection to your followers but you should be prudent since you cannot re-tweet all their tweets.
