Have you ever linked your website to your Plus One page?

Have you linked your website to your Google Plus One page? Unlike other social network pages (Facebook, Twitter, etc..), its not just a matter of adding a link in the settings, it requires a code to be added to the actual website your linking to your Google Plus One page. Have you done this? Where does the code go on my website? Why is it not just like the other ones where a simple link being added is enough?

It sounds overly complicated and maybe not even worthwhile. What are the benefits of linking the +1 page to a website anyway?

Not really sure, doesn't say so im assuming nothing special lol .

I think its just to have the link on the Plus One page / profile.

Ironic how Google is getting reciprocal backlinks from site owners. And, they get onto us about backlinking with excessive reciprocal backlinks. But, this is Google, so maybe they are exempt from following backlinking rules.

When I visit my Google Plus One Page: https://plus.google.com/113251887367534740003/posts then click on "Manage This Page", it tells me I have one more step to complete to full my profile, this last step is linking my website and that's the one that requires it.
