Do nofollow backlinks get counted in Google?

I have been building links for my blog and doing a mix of dofollow and nofollow backlinks. Do nofollow backlinks get counted in Google?

Yes, nofollow links are counted just the same as dofollow in terms of ranking but dofollow is what helps Pagerank.

Based on my experience and observation, nofollow links are also counted by search engines. I do backlinking through blog commenting, among other. Comments are nofollow, yet my websites show backlinks from the the comments I have posted on various websites. However, do follow have higher value for domain authority.

From what I have learned about SEO methods particularly backlinks the no-follow link is set to that setting by the site owner so that the search engine crawler wouldn’t read the web page. Since the web page is bypassed by the Google crawler that is logically not counted by Google. But take note that other search engines can see that web page and your backlink there would have a positive effect in the ranking of your site.
