My friends should stop automatically adding me to their group without asking my permission. What's one thing people should stop doing on Facebook?

People should stop suggesting their friends to me as we will usually have nothing in common.

My pep-peeve is the ones who post their personal problems then tell people to mind their own business when someone responds to it.

Do make issue if your friend should stop to adding you. He does not want to share with you anything. That why. I would like to suggest "Make new friend":)

I get annoyed when people keep spamming comments on my statuses with a personal conversation. They should open a new chat with just them in. I wouldn't mind if it is on topic but if I post about my website, the last thing I care about is people having a private conversation about what they last had to eat etc.

I want my friends to stop being so public on Facebook about relationship issues. It's just really inappropriate to say some things openly. It leads to hurt feelings with the other person in the relationship and can cause more problems.

What people fail to see FB as, is a public forum.
I imagine it as a stadium full of people. You are on the stage. You have the microphone. When you speak into the microphone, everybody hears you. When you provide a slide show (pictures) everybody views it.
When I post something on Facebook, I make sure it is something I would say in a mall, in a grocery store, or in a meeting; as it's extremely public. I am opinionated. I'm not a backstab, cut throat type of individual. I hate drama.
I dislike it when people post their every single move (10am-Just got out of bed. 11am-Making dinner. 12pm-Bathroom break)...lol I mean c'mon, really?
Something else that makes me cringe is how people just don't think...
Would I put pictures of myself or my friends partying? NO
Would I put sexy, alluring pictures of myself on Facebook? NO <- This one is a HUGE problem, by the way!
Individuals fail to realize how easy it is for people to access their pictures.
When I see provocative pictures of my friends on Facebook, I quickly tell them "You should ONLY put pictures on Facebook if you are OK with the fact, someone can some can come along (friend or not) and save all of YOUR pictures of you and your family on their OWN computer, then proceed to use them as they see fit." Usually when I say that, they end up taking them off...lol
But it's the truth.
Yes, I have pictures on mine. I have my privacy settings where I want them. All my pictures are decent. No crazy party pictures, or half naked ones, or anything like that... lol
You have to be comfortable with everything you put on there, knowing that EVERYONE from around the world can view, and use them at their own discretion (friend or not).
One of some many creepy things about FB is... It tracks what site's you've visited. When you sign up to FB, it plants a cookie on your computer so it follows what sites you've visited, how many times you've gone there, if you made purchases, etc... THEN when you sign into your account, all the ads on the side of you FB page are mostly related to the sites you have visited, and the things you are interested in.
Every time I login to FB now, there's ads for SEOClerks, marketing, etc. How would it know what my interests are outside of Facebook, if I didn't write it in there myself? Cookie stuffing, used for tracking your every move. Why? Because they think by following your every step, they will better utilize advertisments... Hoping you would be more apt to purchase something through FB. Kinda creepy, if you ask me. Complete invasion of privacy in that regard.

All very true. :)
And, most people don't see it this way, but it's one of the most public places and no place to air dirty laundry or talk about family/relationship problems. When you consider how 'friends of friends' might be viewing your content/photos/posts, then it could make you do a double take or privacy settings.
I've noticed the same thing about SEOClerks ads on Facebook. They just started popping up recently. As I'm already a member of SEOClerks, I'm not really the ideal audience for these ads. So why are they showing them to me? I'm on SEOClerks ten times a day anyway without the FB ad reminder. :p
