Get your content in Facebook news feed

Facebook looks for high quality content to feature in their news feed and has developed an algorithm to identify this content. Some of the factors considered are:

Is this timely and relevant content?
Is this content from a source you would trust?
Would you share it with friends or recommend it to others?
Is the content genuinely interesting to you or is it trying to game News Feed distribution? (e.g., asking for people to like the content)
Would you call this a low quality post or meme?
Would you complain about seeing this content in your News Feed?

Here are some suggestions from Facebook to help increase the chances you will appear in the Facebook newsfeed:

Make your posts timely and relevant
Build credibility and trust with your audience
Ask yourself, “Would people share this with their friends or recommend it to others?”
Think about, “Would my audience want to see this in their News Feeds

I wonder if you could post commentary on hot topics that are in the news, such as celebrity news and gossip and get into Facebook news, since it is considered timely.

I wonder if you could post commentary on hot topics that are in the news, such as celebrity news and gossip and get into Facebook news, since it is considered timely.

If the gossip related to your page niche, it could be a good way to stimulate real traffic and interest from Facebook fans. And, you might make Facebook notice you by including so many references to 'hot topic' news.

This is one aspect of advertising that some marketer and writers don't know yet. I mean it is easier to get people especially your friends know about what you by getting your contents on your newsfeed. I learnt so much reading your article on ways this can be done.

In order to increase visibility of your post, you have to use hashtags. Hashtags will help you group your content on that category. However, your hashtags must be relevant and you should limit your hashtags to 3-5 hashtags. Using high-quality images also help your post appear on top of the newsfeed. The title and the teaser are also important.

I fully agree with posting something that is relevant and interesting as well. But for my friends to share my post, that is one issue that I am trying to uncover. Sometimes my post would get 20 likes within 5 minutes and many comments. I take it as interesting and relevant for my post to get such many reaction. But no one had shared my posts. Since the beginning, I think I only have less than 10 posts that were shared by my friends.
