    How do you recover your password?

    I forgot my password on one of my first Facebook accounts and no longer have access to the original email address. Is there a way to recover the account anyway?

    You could email the customer service of Facebook; they might be able to help you recover your account.

    You need to click on reset password instead of having to try typing in a password and also ensure the email or phone number you provide is correct so that it can be rectified easily.

    Yes, click forgot password or reset password. Then it will ask for your email address, go to your email and click the link to reset the password, you can key in your new password there.

    I always use my email and phone number as the recovery option.
    The email option is always convenient. Even your recovery email should have a backup email and an active phone number too.

    There are different ways of recovering/resetting your password. It depends upon your account. In most accounts, you can use your recovery e-mail or you can answer the security question to prove your identity.


    To avoid this situations, some say that it's better to use one password for all your accounts.
