Suggest me ways to increase user engagements with website. The target is online sellers, retailers, ecommerce, brick and mortar owners etc.

I have some suggestion as an SEO expert,Below I mention that:
External

Create your website social page.
regularly published social page content that is relevant your website sector.
Every day share some website post on your social page.
create quality link building

Internal

make sure your content is updated and unique.
your content has some engaging material like as image,video,infographics etc.
your content is very nicely present also readability score is upper than 60+
Regularly updated all post.

What is your website about that you need engagements from sellers? Anyway, the best to get traffic is to check social media particularly Facebook. You can search for Facebook Pages with the same niche as your target and establish your presence as a follower of that Page. You can also do the same with Facebook Groups. Once you are established then you can post about your business.
