    What's the optimal amount of time to do SEO before you see results? Can you see results with search engine listings within a day?

    Its quite difficult to see the result within a day, but for less competition, you can notice result in a week.And this time frame to see result all depends on the keyword competition.

    From what I have been reading about the results of SEO work on the site most of the comments were indefinite which means they cannot give an estimated time when the results would be seen. SEO work is not a hit or miss activity but there is no definite date when the results could be seen. As they say it can be a week or a month or even longer that’s why doing SEO work needs a lot of patience.

    Like others have said here, it depends on the keywords you are targeting and what you are trying to rank.

    It's certainly possible to rank a YouTube video number #1 in a day for some keywords if done right.

    But try and rank your 1 week old niche site and you got no chance these days!

    SEO is an ever ongoing process. There is no specified time frame, you just keep going until you get the results you require. How long do you have to do SEO to get results?

    From what I had read in majority of discussions in this forum, the result of SEO work takes time and there is no definite period for the effect to be seen. In other words, SEO work is like an investment that you put in but couldn’t see the profit outright. Some discussions say that the effect of the SEO work can take not only weeks but even months so you need patience when you are doing SEO work on your website.
