    The SML site map is a must for SEO purposes. A site map is a list of web pages in the website which will help the search engine spiders to crawl and index the pages easily.

    See there are two kind of site maps .HTML and .XML. The .xml one is for search engine indexing and the other one is for the users viewing the website.

    I think that it sounds like it is a great idea to have one. I have been to other sites that do not have one but I feel it is in your best interest to have one.

    If you build your website by WordPress then you can use Google XML sitemaps which generate your site sitemaps that is very much important for your SEO.
