How to do link building

Please i have had a site for 11 months and i dont know how to do link building, i have read here mostly that link building is very important, i do write good content and have good number of visits.

Please tell me what i need to know about link building so i can start doing it.

Find high page rank do follow forums and blogs and make relevant (and lengthy) comments on those sites. Be sure to leave your website or blog link if allowed. If the comment is related to the post or forum, it's likely to stay up.

Use a micro jobs site to get others to bookmark your site. You will not pay much money per bookmark, maybe $0.05 or less, but the bookmark will be worth a lot more for your link building strategy.

From what I understand with the term link-building, it is the planting of the website’s link in the internet. It can be in forums, blogs, and social media. When reading a blog, you can post a comment that includes your link in the signature of your profile or maybe you can also include in your post the link of your website with a line that says something interesting and relevant to the blog you are reading. Those ways can give your website the traffic that you want from the backlinks.
