    Are backlinks from article websites any good?

    Do you get backlinks from article directories? If so, which directories are the best for backlinking?

    Just depends on which article directory you are getting a backlink from. There are many shake and bake article directories out there with very low page rank and getting a back link from these sites will really serve no purpose. But, if you can find an older, more well established article directory that offers do follow links, then I'd say go for it.

    Try for backlinks from well respected article sites such as ezinearticles.com. Just be sure to use a proper redirect link if you are linking to an affiliate site.

    no most of the article sites are penalized by google , but yeah it still help you get traffic

    Mostly, you will want to use article directories to distribute your articles to other webmasters, not just get a quick backlink. Other webmasters will pick up and publish your article on their website and that will give you the backlink you want.

    In my opinion, articles sites have more value than article directories when it comes to generating backlinks. However, much much weight the backlink has depends on number of factors such as page rank of the article site or article directory, qualaity contents on the article site or article directory etc.

    I have no clear idea about article directories but I know article website because my close friend has been submitting there. When the article is published and read by many then that is considered quality backlink. But I guess the article website should be well known like the wattpad where countless of readers go there every day to read the stories that are submitted there daily.
