Do manual blog comment links work post Penguin 2.0?

I have a list of dofollow blogs that I post on regularly. I do manual posts and I always read the content first. The comments are high quality and accepted/used on the site.

I used this method prior to penguin 1 with great success and then after it still worked. I just load the blogs I read and have found into my RSS reader so when new content appears, I post on it. If you get the number 1 spot, you can get good traffic btw.

My question is, does this still work after Penguin 2.0? Did google nuke this form of link building or do they still count? I really don't want to do this daily for nothing at all. Can anyone confirm or deny this method for Penguin 2.0?

This trick still works ! But make sure the list you have isn't available to public or you get is from some paid organization. I say this because, if it is free then everyone will do what you are doing and then google can easily discover this trick :|
