Domain authority means for a particular website by making it has brand through seo search engine will provide an authority for the website by verifying the website traffic and the links

Do you mean to say that a site with domain authority means it has a strong influence with the search engines? I have read somewhere that old domains have a higher authority than new ones but I guess the domain authority rests on the contents of the site and also with the connections to other sites like the backlinks that affect the SEO of the site.
