    What is 301 redirect?

    It is a method by which the user is redirected to new page url to old page url . It is a permanent redirect and it is also useful in directing link juice to new url from old url .

    301 redirect is a catch phrase often used in SEO where nobody really explains how to do it. Many people feel too dumb to ask "how do I do a 301 redirect?" because they feel they should just know what one is.

    As a newcomer in the SEO industry, do I need to know this 301 direct? If it is a new link that is directed to an old link within the site then what is the issue with it if a user clicks on the new link and he goes to the old web page that is his haunt? Maybe you need to elaborate more if 301 is indeed an issue or for learning by a newcomer.
