Maybe Pinterest should come up with a search engine that indexes all the various clips available, not just on their site but any clip site or any image online. That could be a useful resource.
Reverse image search is a huge research topic. Do you think pinterest has resources which can help in this research ? :)

I'm studying my computer engineering and I was same thing which shek pointed out. So, I doubt anybody could pull this things accurate enough ! :(

The only thing is that you have to sign up to search Pinterest, as with Google you don't have to.
I see it is a good way to make more sign ups, but some people don't want to sign up for things before they know what it is like.

They could very well pull this off and I would think that they would want to. Pinterest is a very neat site and they get so many on it in a day, that they could have all sorts of great traffic.

Pulling image recognition is not that easy. So, I guess it might take more time for them to come up with such a thing. :)

I thought there are many algorithms which can help in recognizing images. Aren't those easy to implement? I mean if I've a pseudo code, I can implement almost anything :D
