Why is Google News Blog never updated?

Seems ironic how Google would stress fresh content constantly but rarely update it's own blog for news. There are still some good tips to be learn new ways to use Google news.

Maybe there is nothing new happening with the Google news team on a regular basis that warrants blog posts. Still, they could have taken time to highlight popular Google news stories for the blog readers who are coming by.

I've seen this abandoned blog phenomenon on the Facebook blog too. It's just like they decided to give up the blog. There might be people out there who would be interested in this subject. Funny how this page is still ranking well.
