Start using "Bing Webmaster" (Owned By Bing) You can submit your sitemaps and helps you optimize your site to rank better. You can also submit our links and d0 much more. Just "bing" "Bing Webmaster" and it should come up.

If your website or the niche has some relevance across Microsoft based ecosystem. Then your site can get some good traffic from Bing. I think those who want to optimize the search results for bing they have lot to do. But what is popular on Google is going to be popular on bing for sure. That's how I have seen things changing.

When you optimize your site for Bing, you are in effect optimizing your site for search engines in general. That means what works for Bing will also work of the other major search engines like Google and Yahoo Search. The primary element for optimization of the website is the content. When you upload good contents, your website is considered current and not stagnant by the search engine so it has a chance to be included in the search list results.
