    Does pay per click advertising work better than banner ads?

    I'd rather pay to have my banner placed on a high traffic forum or blog rather than pay per click. To me, it just seems like a better deal for what's paid. Which do you prefer; ppc or banner ad?

    Both have their own advantage and disadvantage.
    For PPC, although you only pay per click on the ad, it's quite pricey if you don't know how to manage your budget.
    For banner ad placement, it can get thousands of clicks per day depending on the traffic of the site where you have it posted. And the payment rangers from per week to per month, to per year basis.

    Banner swaps might be a good solution. You could swap banners with other forum owners and that would get some niche traffic from related sites.

    Both have there different use .If you are placing your banner on a website which is for reqal estate and your business is about clothes then banner add will be uselesss over theer cpc will be better for you as you will get click of person who only want to visit your site not of the person who is there for time pass or by mistake..

    Banners may work for some niches, but I've seen PPC pay off a lot more in conversions even though banners may get more clicks. I really don't care how many clicks "lookeloos" I get, it's all about conversions for me!

    If you have high impression visitors then choose banner ad
    if you have high clicking visitors try pay per click

    Pay per click will cost you a lot of money but the banner ads are cheaper than Pay per click ads.

    It depends on what kind of traffic you are bringing. If most of the visitors of your website are new they might be interested in banner ads. However, for the returning visitor that has already seen the banner, he may not take interest on your banner ad. For the returning visitor, PPC will work better. If you are doing contextual advertising, PPC ads will be updated frequently. Returning visitors might take interest in new ads.
