How to promote your webmaster or SEO blog on forums

The issue with promoting an SEO or webmaster related blog on webmaster forums (via signature line) is how everyone there will have a similar site. Or, there are just so many other sites being advertised in forum signatures your own link gets lost in the shuffle.

Even if your content is very unique, people need an extra special reason to visit your site over others.

Start a resource section on your site of free webmaster tools, free branded infographics, free ebooks/whitepapers or something else not featured on other sites.

You might even offer a free ten minute live chat consultation with anyone who signs up to your email newsletter.

This idea works whether you own a static site, blog or forum.

Offering a unique resource section on your site and then promoting that section via your signature line will set your site apart from others and give you something truly unique and worthwhile to advertise in your signature line.

You have to make your signature line stand out or it will not even be looked at. It's not good enough to say, "... here's my link, click on it". The forum visitor needs a reason to click, something that makes it worth their time to leave the current site for a new one.
