I used social bump once on three of my gigs and within a day had 2 new gigs for forum posting. It's not off site advertising, but it's one of the things that worked really well for me.

Signature line ads on popular forums might help, especially if the forum is themed similar to your gig (and what's showing in your signature line on that forum).
