Best place to put Adsense blocks

Where's the best place to put Adsense blocks on a forum or blog?

Is there an ideal placement for these ads to get maximum clicks?

You can easily place Adsense blocks above your blog post or along the right hand column. Another good place to have Adsense blocks are within your blog post. This is an ideal choice if you are using ad link units, rather than banners.

Having another ad unit beneath each blog post is a good idea too as it gives your reader one last thing to do on your page.

This unit acts like a call to action that should help increase clicks for that page.

I place adsense ad units on the header, footer, side bar and inside the content. In my observation, the ads inside the content have the highest conversion rate. The lowest conversion is on footer. the second lowest conversion is on header.
