    Do you use presell techniques on your email list to hint around about the products you might be offering at some time in the future or do you go right in for the direct sale and start recommending products from the very first day?

    This technique can be effective, especially if you create an outline ahead of time to let yourself know what will be in each upcoming email. For instance, you might decide that every third email you will mention your main product, but stick to just informational tips for everything else. This will depend on what type of product or site you are promoting as to effectiveness.

    An email list is all about preselling or establishing a trust connection with your email subscribers. You won't want to rush into promotion with these subscribers too early or you will ruin your chances of establishing trust.
