    I don't think that Affiliate Marketing is easy money. If it was easy money, no company would have ever offered it.

    The benefits of affiliate programs are that you can earn money without actually having to build or support a product. The downside is that you're subject to the whims of the program manager. If they close them program, you're out of luck. But all in all it's a pretty risk free program because most are free to join.

    How much you can earn from affiliate marketing depends on how much effort you put into marketing the products. If you are promoting the affiliate products through your website, your website needs to be ranked high, your website needs to be receiving high traffic and your traffic needs to have high conversion rate.
