Make my affiliates more active.. Tips?

Clerks Nation,
I've recently made up my mind. I'm about to start gaining more affiliates, however, before I do that (or during the time I do it) I want the affiliates I have today, to become more active.

Some of them are purchasing services on a daily basis which is exactly what I'm after.. But I've noticed that several affiliates of mine, hasn't even logged in for months..

I have a few ideas on how I could try to make them more active but instead of just barging right to it, I thought I'd ask you.

How would you do it, have you done it and how did you do it? Share some ideas

Here's a few affiliates of mine: (as you can see, there's several affiliates who hasn't logged in for several weeks/months!)

And, this is how it works with affiliates. Some are very active initially, very excited to be part of a site and over time they lose enthusiasm. As you can see, the sales went down over time. Just need new affiliates to purchase.

i have only gotten 2 affiliates , though i am still making serious efforts to get more.it is not easy. i want to know how you did your promotions to get them.?. i am trying social media, social bookmarking, backlinks and many others. though you have listed some tricks for me, but where do i get those that need these SEO serives? @hitmeasap

Give affiliates incentives and or create a contest or a raffle for your affiliates. You really need to motivate your affiliates to be productive or else they won't work as much for your company.
