How long before you made your first affiliate sale?

I'm no expert at affiliate marketing but I would love to promote the SEOClerks affiliate program on forums. How long does it take to actually start getting results from the affiliate program?

It will start soon but also depends on the method you are using for your affiliate link promotion. In my case i got my first affiliate sale in the second of promotion of my link.

If you plan to do any social site promotion (Facebook, Twitter, etc), make sure you use your own affiliate store on your own domain and NOT the direct affiliate link, as those sites won't allow it.

It took three months to make my first affiliate sales. I have two books published on Amazon, I am also Amazon affiliate. I added my book with affiliate code on my website. I shared my website on social media. One of my friends check my website and bought the book. I am doing affiliate marketing since many years, however, I am yet to see big affiliate sell.
