Referrals ?

What do you get out of a referral? Usually on other sites you get points or money or something.. What do you get here on SEO Clerks?

I have my referral link in the signature line on a very large webmaster forum. But I've read how some members have very good success advertising or linking from blackhat forums with the affiliate link. I think it would work better if you linked to specific gigs such as backlinking packages, SEO gigs, etc. As those specific gigs will be of interest to a niche crowd and more likely convert.
